Patricia Humphrey began her college education at Howard University in Washington, DC in 1986 and received her Bachelor’s in Psychology and her Master’s in Social Work from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.

A native Floridian, Patricia is a bilingual (English/Spanish), Virginia Licensed Clinical Social Worker and, for over 25 years, she have dedicated her work to helping and advocating for individuals, youth & families to overcome mental health barriers stemming from a wide range of complicated social, emotional, and environmental factors.

Through her work with the Fairfax County Office for Children,  Department of Family Services, Public Schools and in Private Practice, Patricia has served children from infancy to 17 years of age and adults ranging in age from 18 through their senior years with dignity and respect.

Patricia is trained in a variety of treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing (MI) and play therapy (PT). Her specialties range from working with mental health and learning disabilities like anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD),autism and depression to supporting trauma focused issues like child sexual abuse, gang prevention, human trafficking and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
